The first time I saw Kevyn, was his guest appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show, where he transformed her into a diva and shared the launch of his books. This was such an inspirational moment for myself and many other makeup artists in the industry today. Although I wasn’t fortunate to meet Kevyn in person, his story and his books have helped shape me as an artist. At a time before social media, his books were my “makeup school.”
